First Congress Planning Meeting Report

Thank you to all who participated Saturday, Jan. 15 for the first 2011 Citywide Congress planning meeting and for volunteering to take leadership roles in the various congress planning areas. Our next meeting will be Saturday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m., [NOTE TIME CHANGE TO 2 PM] same location at the Hollywood Constituent Center. Everyone is invited.

Here is a quick recap from our meeting. Names in parenthesis are those taking the lead on getting more details in these areas.

Congress Budget:
$20,000 is the targeted base cost from prior citywide and regional NC congress events. DONE will bring financial recaps from prior congress events and share at our next meeting.

Citywide Congress of NCs Planning Meeting - Jan. 15, 2011

Hello,

Happy New Year!

It is time to get on track for the Citywide Congress of NCs. Thank you to all who sent notes with interest and support in getting plans for a 2011 Congress officially underway. It is important to have all areas across the City participating.

The first face to face meeting will be on Saturday, January 15 at 2 p.m. at the Hollywood Constituent Center, 6501 Fountain Avenue, Hollywood. Meeting should last about an hour.

Please come prepared to participate in the following tasks that we need to get started on first:

1. Location
2. Budget $$
3. Date

No particular order for the above but once the above details have commitments then we can proceed with other plans.

Other commitments and interests may also be discussed but the first meeting will focus on the above. We will also set the dates for future meetings and start a timeline (countdown) to the event.

If you have an interest in chairing (taking charge) in any areas, please come prepared to do so. If you find that more folks need to be included, invite them. This effort is open to all. DONE staff are also included and we look forward to their participation and assistance. Working together will make this one of the best NC Congress events ever.
