Program Committee meets July 2 at 12 noon after LANCC meeting

Following is a recap of last Saturday (June 25) committee meeting. IMPORTANT: If you are on the Program committee (or want to be involved in the workshops plan to attend this Saturday's committee meeting. The full committee plans to meet the following Saturday, July 9).

The Congress will begin at 7:45 a.m - 4:00 p.m. on Sat. Sept. 24. All day event. Parking will be provided (advance registration). Roll Call of NCs will take place early at 8:45 -- important for all attending to be on time and participate in Roll Call.

NC's have contributed over $8,000 toward funding Congress expenses. [THANK YOU NC's!] Our goal is $10,000. DONE has committed $10,000 for a total of $20,000 for the NC Congress 2011. Several advance expenses have been paid, including audio, tables, chairs for use at City Hall.

A Save the Date card will be finalized this week.

A website link for RSVPs will be finalized this week.

The Program Committee is meeting this coming Saturday, July 2 at 12 noon to discuss program topics and ideas for speakers. Letters will then go out and workshops finalized. Parameters for the workshops have been set. The program committee will also meet on Saturday, July 9 after PlanCheck. The committee will be meeting more often now that we are less than 90 days away from the Congress.

We need help with the following:
Youth Volunteers on the day of the Congress. This is to direct attendees to the various rooms on the day of the Congress. If your NC has a group to recommend, please submit details so we can discuss and finalize at an upcoming committee meeting. More than one group may be involved.
City Hall logistics -- this includes security, layout, signage, volunteer coordination, staff, etc.
Committee greeters on the day of the Congress
Printed Program and Content including collection of content, writing, photos, etc.
Promoting the Congress
Best Practices -- what is your NC doing
...and more
